MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR SEAFARERS TO WORK ON SHIP

1.MINIMUM AGE
            MINIMUM AGE OF WORK ONBOARD SHIP IS 16.YEARS, NIGHT WORK OF SEAFARERS UNDER AGE 18.YEARS IS PROHIBITED. NIGHT SHALL COVER A PERIOD OF AT LEAST 9.HRS NOT LATER THAN MIDNIGHT AND ENDING NOT EARLIER THAN 5.AM

2.MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
            MEDICAL FITNESS TO PERFORM DUTIES                                                                                                                                                                               
            A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE ISSUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH STCW RULES SHALL BE ACCEPTED
            VALIDITY OF MEDICAL CERTIFICATE IS 2.YEARS ABOVE 18 YEARS OF AGE AND BELOW 18 YEARS OF AGE IS 1 YEAR
            COLOUR VISION CERTIFICATE VALID FOR 6 YEARS

3.TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION
            SEAFARERS SHALL NOT WORKONBOARD UNLESS THEY ARE TRAINED OR CERTIFIED AS COMPETENT. SEAFARERS SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED TO WORK ON SHIP UNLESS THEY HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED TRAINING FOR PERSONNEL SAFETY ONBOARD TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANDATORY INSTRUMENTS ADOPTED BY IMO

4.RECRUITMENT AND PLACEMENT
            THE EMPLOYMENT SHOULD THROUGH THE RPSL LICENSED AGENCY WITHOUT ANY CHARGES
            A COMPETENT AUTHORITY SHALL CLOSELY SUPERWISE AND CONTROLL ALL SEAFARER RECRUITMENT AND PLACEMENT
